The purpose of the Alhambra Highlander Pipes and Drums unit of the Alhambra Shriners is to perform as a bagpipe and drum band at various parades and events around the Tennessee Valley for fraternity, to promote the Alhambra Shriners and Shriners philanthropy.  It is the policy of the unit to perform only as a unit. 

Some members of the group however are available to perform for special occasions such as funerals, weddings and other events.  Participation is an individual decision by the member and any arrangements for such events should be made directly with that member.  It is customary to offer any musician an honorarium for his expenses.
